Product Owner (Leeds)

Job Title: Product Owner – Automation & Power Platform

Location: Leeds (Hybrid, 1-2 days per week on site)

Rate: £500 per day (Outside IR35)

Length: 6 months

A leading organisation in the financial services sector is seeking a Product Owner to lead on automation initiatives within their Intelligent Automation value stream. This role will drive the development and delivery of solutions built on Microsoft 365 and the Power Platform, working closely with data science teams to unlock business efficiencies.

Product Owner Responsibilities:

• Deliver automation solutions across key business areas, leveraging Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and intelligent automation tools
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to define and prioritise the product backlog
• Align stakeholders across data science, engineering, and operations to ensure successful delivery
• Ensure automation initiatives meet business goals and user needs
• Track and report on value delivered through automation capabilities

Product Owner Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner within enterprise environments
• Strong understanding of intelligent automation and process optimisation
• Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), and related technologies
• Experience working within agile product teams
• Ability to translate complex requirements into clear deliverables
• Experience collaborating with data science teams or exposure to data-driven product development is highly desirable
• Financial services experience preferred but not essential
