About the Role:
We are seeking a Product Owner (PO) to join our IT Services team, focusing on the End User Experience (EUX) value stream. In this role, you will drive the development, enhancement, and transformation of our technology products to ensure an outstanding user experience for our colleagues. This is a dynamic position that requires collaboration with technical and business stakeholders, managing a product backlog, and delivering maximum value through agile methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Develop and execute the product roadmap in alignment with value stream OKRs.
- Regularly review and refine the roadmap based on business priorities and user feedback.
- Agile & Backlog Management
- Work closely with technical teams to define delivery iterations, conduct workshops, and gather requirements.
- Prioritise and manage the product backlog, ensuring focus on high-value initiatives.
- Write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and product specifications.
- Collaborate with Agile Delivery Leads (ADLs) to maintain a steady flow of work for squads.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, planning, refinements, and retrospectives.
- User Experience & Performance Improvement
- Act as the voice of the customer, ensuring solutions align with user needs and business value.
- Create and maintain dashboards to track product performance, using insights to drive backlog decisions.
- Monitor and analyse product performance, identifying areas for improvement and efficiencies.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Communication
- Be the primary point of contact for squads regarding product-related questions and requirements.
- Report on progress, risks, issues, and impacts to the Product Manager and key stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations.
- Coordinate product launches and internal communications to ensure seamless adoption.
What You Need to Succeed
- Prior experience working in Technology Infrastructure (support, delivery, or project role).
- Strong technical knowledge of end-user computing (EUC).
- Experience delivering Technology Infrastructure transformation programmes and projects.
- Product & Agile Experience: Previous experience in a product-related role, working within Agile delivery teams. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and product management frameworks. Strong skills in Agile collaboration tools like Jira, Confluence, and other product management tools. Experience writing business requirements that engineers can implement effectively.
- Soft Skills & Mindset: A customer-centric problem solver with a mindset for continuous improvement. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering quality and value. Ability to challenge the status quo and drive positive change.
