Role: Amazon Connect Engineer
Rate: £500.00 – £600.00 per day outside IR35

SPG have partnered with a large outsourcing business to support them securing a number of Amazon Connect consultants. This role is ideal for someone with experience in transitioning from traditional systems like Avaya to cloud-based contact centre solutions, specifically Amazon Connect.
Role Overview:
As an Amazon Connect Consultant, you will be responsible for analysing existing Avaya contact centre requirements and designing equivalent or enhanced solutions using Amazon Connect. You will work closely with our clients, business analysts, and technical teams to ensure that the transition to Amazon Connect meets all business requirements and is executed seamlessly. Additionally, you will play a key role in supporting the build, configuration, and deployment of the solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather and understand detailed contact centre requirements from their existing Avaya setup.
- Design, architect, and implement Amazon Connect solutions that meet or exceed the functionality of the current Avaya systems.
- Translate customer business needs into technical solutions by creating high-level designs, configuration specifications, and implementation roadmaps.
- Lead the end-to-end deployment process, including system design, configuration, testing, and deployment, ensuring solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
- Provide guidance and best practices for building scalable, resilient, and cost-effective Amazon Connect architectures.
- Customize Amazon Connect features, such as IVR, contact flows, and integrations with other AWS services.
- Ensure smooth integration with existing systems such as CRM tools, databases, and reporting systems.
- Work with development teams to build, test, and validate the Amazon Connect solution, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in designing and implementing Amazon Connect solutions, particularly migrating from traditional telephony systems like Avaya.
- Strong understanding of Amazon Connect features and capabilities, including contact flows, IVR, integrations, and reporting.
- Strong background in contact centre technologies, ideally with hands-on experience working with Avaya systems.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with call centre reporting and analytics tools, both in legacy systems like Avaya and cloud-based solutions like Amazon Connect.
