About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced ERP IT Business Systems Analyst / ERP IT Applications Analyst to join a leading manufacturing organization in Darlington. This long-term onsite role is ideal for a professional with strong Oracle ERP functional expertise who enjoys working closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and technology partners to deliver robust enterprise solutions.

You will play a key role in analyzing business requirements, configuring ERP applications, supporting implementations, and driving continuous improvements across business-critical systems within a manufacturing environment.

Job Skills & Requirements:

  • Solution Design: Create and define solution designs using industry standards, tools, instrumentation, and measurement techniques. Develop diagrams, models, and documentation that support buildability, business, technical, security, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Solution Functional Fit Analysis: Analyze systems by decomposing them into component parts to evaluate how effectively they are designed, configured, and integrated to meet business, technical, security, governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Solution Modeling: Create solution models, diagrams, and technical documentation using industry-standard tools, version control, and automation practices.
  • Solution Configuration: Configure, build, and test IT solutions using industry standards, version control, and automation tools to ensure quality, security, and compliance.
  • Solution Validation Testing: Validate solution changes using Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices, testing standards, tools, and metrics to ensure solutions meet functional and business requirements.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive solution design documents, functional specifications, test cases, test scripts, and supporting documentation.
  • Customer Focus: Build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Managing Complexity: Analyze complex and sometimes conflicting information to identify practical and effective solutions.
  • Global Perspective: Apply a broad business and technology perspective when evaluating solutions and making decisions.

  • Determine, document, configure, and validate optimal ERP application setups to meet functional and business requirements.
  • Maintain expertise in Oracle ERP functionality, enhancements, and industry best practices, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Perform functional fit-gap analysis and recommend solutions to address business requirements.
  • Collaborate with software vendors and support partners to resolve application issues and improve system capabilities.
  • Work closely with process owners, business analysts, systems analysts, solution architects, and technical teams to gather, document, and validate functional and technical requirements.
  • Serve as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for assigned ERP applications, supporting projects, enhancements, and ongoing application support.
  • Create and manage functional specifications that guide application development, configuration, testing, and implementation.
  • Support ERP implementations, upgrades, enhancements, testing, and post-deployment activities.
  • Ensure all solutions comply with organizational standards for security, governance, compliance, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
