Sperry Marine is a leading supplier of navigation, communication, information, and automation systems for commercial marine and naval markets. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, we have an extensive international presence across Europe, the Americas and Asia, employing almost 400 people across ten countries.
We are looking for a UKâbased qualified accountant to join our team on a oneâyear fixedâterm contract. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will play a key role in driving the centralisation and standardisation of finance processes, leveraging our global ERP system to improve governance, efficiency, and control.
You will be integral to monthâend and yearâend closing and reporting cycles, as well as supporting technical accounting, policy development, and business initiatives that enhance financial insight and decisionâmaking. Collaboration is key: you will work closely with regional finance and commercial teams to ensure group policies and processes are effective locally. Your strong technology skills, problemâsolving mindset, and attention to detail will make you the goâto expert for optimising systems and reducing friction in financial processes across the group.

Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting/Finance (or related field) and ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally with progressive experience in industry or practice
Key Attributes
- Independence: A selfâstarter who thrives with limited supervision (direct line management based in Singapore; local finance team support available)
- Communication: Highly effective communicator, able to engage across regions and cultures, including remote environments
- Organisation: Excellent time and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities flexibly
- Technical Skills: Strong Excel proficiency and ability to adapt quickly to ERP systems (IFS experience is a plus)
- Accounting Knowledge: Solid IFRS experience; US GAAP knowledge is an advantage
- Global Mindset: Experience working with international teams, often with colleagues for whom English is not the first language is a plus
