We are looking for a motivated and technically-minded individual to join our team in Plymouth as a Moulding Production Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for operating injection moulding machines to manufacture plastic components (Vacutainer Tubes & Caps), working within a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.
Shift Pattern: Continuous night shift 3 days on, 3 days off
Hours: 11pm - 11am
Shift Premium: An impressive 48% on top of your base salary!
What You’ll Do:
- Operate and monitor injection moulding machines
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues (root cause analysis)
- Carry out routine and preventative maintenance
- Support annual machine maintenance alongside PM Technicians
- Follow health & safety and quality standards
- Drive improvements through lean manufacturing techniques (5S, Kaizen, etc.)
- Collaborate closely with Operators, Engineers, Quality Techs & Shift Leaders
- Maintain records via SAP and ensure compliance through inspections
About You:
- Level 3 qualification in Engineering (essential)
- Experience in a technical/manufacturing role
- Injection moulding experience (desirable but not essential)
- Strong mechanical/electrical fault-finding skills
- Detail-oriented, with a passion for quality and efficiency
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic IT systems
