We are looking for a talented Team Lead Engineering to join our Product, Design, and Engineering organization and help shape the future of spend management. As a Team Lead Engineering, you will be responsible for a team of 4 to 6 software engineers, collaborating closely with a Product Manager and Product Designer. You will drive your team’s objectives and ensure successful delivery against clear KPIs and defined SLOs. You will champion the growth and engagement of your team members, supporting their career development, performance management, and recognition through promotions and development plans. While we don’t expect Team Leads to be full-time hands-on coders, you will remain technically involved, contributing to software architecture, troubleshooting, code reviews, and supporting your team in non-critical technical initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for other squads and the product team
  • Ensure high-quality delivery from your squad
  • Review pull requests and designs; oversee technical decisions
  • Lead by example and promote strong technical guidelines and robust architectural patterns
  • Define and communicate clear, SMART objectives
  • Foster the well-being and growth of your squad through mentoring, regular 1:1s, and team-building activities
  • Be actively involved in the hiring process

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Demonstrated experience in people management
  • Strong knowledge of robust and scalable architectural patterns
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working on large-scale projects in fast-paced environments
  • Proactive approach to identifying and solving problems
  • Experience in fintech is a plus, but not required
