Overview

In this Customer Success Manager role, you will own a portfolio of UK mid-market customers and help finance teams harness Spendesk to achieve measurable value. You’ll drive adoption, renewals and expansion, acting as a trusted advisor across the customer lifecycle. You will collaborate with Account Managers, Product, Marketing and Support to ensure an outstanding UK customer experience and to voice customer needs internally. This is a growth-focused, strategic role with a strong emphasis on risk management and long-term partnerships.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of approximately 120–150 UK mid-market customers
  • Build relationships with Finance Managers, CFOs, Finance Directors and other senior stakeholders
  • Understand customer priorities and define success for Spendesk deployments
  • Advise on best practices and optimize usage of Spendesk
  • Lead regular account reviews and develop success plans aligned with objectives
  • Become a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Guide onboarding and drive long-term product adoption
  • Monitor account health, product usage and engagement; identify risks and act to prevent churn
  • Help customers measure ROI and value of Spendesk
  • Support customers through organisational changes and new stakeholders
  • Ensure ongoing discovery and adoption of relevant Spendesk features
  • Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities in line with customer needs
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to convert expansion opportunities
  • Support renewal discussions by clearly communicating value
  • Maintain a customer-first approach to portfolio growth
  • Share structured customer feedback with Product, Marketing and Sales
  • Identify recurring needs and potential product improvements
  • Support UK market rollout of new features
  • Contribute to customer advocacy initiatives such as testimonials and case studies
  • Help internal teams understand UK Finance needs

Key requirements

  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Experience in Customer Success, Account Management, Client Management or similar roles
  • Consultative mindset with proactive advisory approach
  • Strong ownership and ability to manage a large portfolio autonomously
  • Ability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Analytical mindset to leverage customer data for risks and opportunities
