We're looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to build and qualify pipeline that maps to our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP). You'll own the top of the funnel — researching target accounts, running outbound outreach, and qualifying opportunities before handing them to Account Executives. This is a transitional role with a clear destination: you'll be trained as an Account Executive from day one, learning the full sales cycle while you own the BDR function. The expectation is that you outperform as a BDR — consistently exceeding pipeline and meeting targets — and earn your path into a closing seat by proving you can execute at a high level. If you're early in your sales career, hungry to level up fast, and ready to be held to a high bar, this is where you do it.
Key Responsibilities
- Research and identify prospects that fit our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) by industry, size, role, and buying signals
- Build targeted account and contact lists, and keep them clean and prioritized
- Run outbound outreach across email, calls, and LinkedIn to generate qualified meetings
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads against ICP criteria before routing to Account Executives
- Book and coordinate discovery meetings, ensuring smooth handoffs to the sales team
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings and pipeline generated — outperformance is the expectation, not the exception
- Log activity, notes, and lead status accurately in the CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Test and refine messaging, sequences, and outreach cadences to improve conversion
- Shadow Account Executives on discovery calls, demos, and negotiations to build full-cycle selling skills
- Complete structured AE training and progressively take on closing responsibilities as you demonstrate readiness
- Share prospect feedback and ICP learnings with sales, marketing, and product
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a BDR/SDR, sales, or customer-facing role, ideally in tech/SaaS
- Track record of hitting or exceeding activity or pipeline targets
- Strong written and verbal communication; comfortable starting conversations with new prospects
- Organized and disciplined, with the ability to manage a high volume of accounts and outreach
- Curious, coachable, and resilient in the face of rejection
- Ambitious and self-driven, with a genuine goal of becoming an Account Executive
- Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Apollo)
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
