Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance their shopping experience.
- Assist customers in selecting baked goods and other food items, offering product recommendations and upselling where appropriate.
- Prepare and package baked goods with attention to quality, presentation, and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area, including food handling, and cleaning equipment.
- Ensure proper food safety practices are followed in accordance with sanitation regulations.
- Assist with cashiering duties, including cash handling, processing payments accurately, and managing basic math calculations for transactions.
- Uphold excellent service standards by engaging with customers professionally and efficiently managing busy periods in a quick service environment.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues on daily tasks and store operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or retail environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Knowledge of food handling procedures, sanitation practices, and basic math skills related to retail math or grocery store operations is highly valued.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic approach to engaging shoppers.
