Our client is a growing property management company based in London, specialising in the management of commercial (and some residential) property across a range of asset classes. They work with a varied client base including private investors and institutional owners, delivering a high-quality, hands-on management service. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Commercial Property Manager to take responsibility for a diverse commercial portfolio and play a key role within the business.
Role Overview
The Senior Commercial Property Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a commercial property portfolio and will act as a trusted point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders. The role involves portfolio oversight, client communication, financial management, and supporting junior team members. This position requires strong technical knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to operate confidently within a fast-paced and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio & Client Management
- Managing a diverse portfolio of commercial properties across various asset classes
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Preparing and presenting property reports, budgets, performance updates and recommendations
- Coordinating lease events including renewals, rent reviews, assignments and dilapidations, working alongside legal and professional advisers
- Financial & Budget Management
- Overseeing service charge budgets and annual reconciliations
- Monitoring expenditure and overall financial performance of the portfolio
- Supporting clients with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
- Operations, Maintenance & Compliance
- Carrying out regular site inspections to ensure properties are maintained to a high standard
- Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance
- Managing and reviewing contractor and supplier performance
- Ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements and health & safety legislation
- Team Support
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Encouraging best practice, professionalism and collaboration
- Reporting & Business Improvement
- Providing regular reporting to Directors on portfolio performance and operational matters
- Identifying opportunities to improve internal systems, processes and service delivery
Skills & Experience Required
- A minimum of 3 years experience in commercial property management
- Strong client-facing experience
- Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff
- Excellent organisational and workload management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using property management software
- MRICS (or working towards) is desirable but not essential
Salary, Hours & Location
- Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 per annum (depending on experience)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Location: Central London
