Chartered Building Surveyor We’re working with a growing and ambitious firm of building surveyors who are looking to bring in a qualified and experienced MRICS Building Surveyor to join their London office. About the Role: You’ll be joining a busy, well-regarded practice offering a wide range of residential and commercial surveying services. This is a hands-on professional surveying role with scope for leadership and business development. You’ll be responsible for: * Carrying out Defect Analysis Reports (Deplaps) and advising clients on necessary remedial works * Conducting Homebuyer Reports, Building Surveys, and Schedule of Condition reports * Advising clients on building pathology, maintenance issues, and statutory compliance * Managing and delivering your own workload from instruction to completion * Liaising with clients, contractors, and external consultants * Supporting junior surveyors (with the option to take on a team lead function if of interest) * Bringing in new work and nurturing existing client relationships Requirements: * MRICS qualified, with a minimum of 2 years post-qualified experience * Experience delivering core professional surveying work across residential and commercial sectors * Background in building surveying consultancies – ideally from small to mid-sized firms * Proactive, self-motivated and entrepreneurial – someone who sees the opportunity to build something * Strong written communication, client care, and reporting skills * Happy working independently as well as part of a close-knit team Salary & Benefits: * Base salary: £65,000 – £75,000, depending on experience * Commission: 10% of fees on new clients you bring in * Performance-related bonus structure (to be discussed) * Supportive, entrepreneurial environment with genuine room to grow
