Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Immigration Solicitor or Caseworker to join our expanding Immigration Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified solicitor or an experienced caseworker with a strong interest in UK immigration law and cross-border business matters.

 

Your responsibility will fall into three main areas: case work, client facing support and administrative duties. You will be responsible for drafting legal documents, dealing with immigration applications, administrative reviews, appeals and judicial reviews, and prepare files. You will be expected to liaise on client matters like take new enquiries, attend client meetings, and provide legal advice. You will also carry out general administrative day to day duties, be responsible for case management and diary management including arrange appointments for client and completion of standard client engagement letters, emails and letters.

 

Main tasks:

●      Provide accurate and practical advice to client on all aspects of UK private and business immigration;

●      Responsible for immigration applications, administrative reviews, appeals and judicial reviews on all aspects of UK private and business immigration;

●      Advice, collect, analyse, and reviewing relevant documents for immigration process;

●      Conducting legal research, drafting legal documents and letters;

●      Liaise with the Home Office and other authorities and keep client informed of the progress of their application;

●      Receive requests for legal advice from current and potential clients and deciding on the most appropriate responses to make to these requests;

●      Offer advice on the law, legal procedures and a wide range of associated issues;

●      File management and billing administration;

●      Support the firm with business development and marketing activities.

Requirement:

●       At least two years' experience in UK immigration law;

●       Excellent Mandarin and English language skills, both verbal and written;

●       A pro-active and self-motivated attitude;

●       Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional client care;

●       The ability to work independently and be a pro-active member of the team;

●       Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to maintain high professional standards of work, including when working to strict deadlines;

●       Strong IT skills, including experience of Apple computers and cloud-based technology platforms.
