Employment Law Solicitor in Birmingham

We are looking for an experienced Employment Law Solicitor to provide high-quality legal advice to our clients. Our ideal candidate can work independently, taking full responsibility for advising clients and progressing matters.

• Location: We are based in Harborne, Birmingham, but are open to remote, hybrid or in-office working.
• Hours: Full time or part time. We are open to discussion about working pattern, but require somebody who can work Wednesdays. Some afternoon availability would be preferrable.

Key responsibilities

1. Provide high quality employment law services to the firm’s clients. This will include handling contentious matters, advising on settlement agreements, and drafting contracts, policies and settlements.

2. Conduct your own cases, taking responsibility for providing timely service and managing budgets. Work in accordance with firm procedures and standards, including file and case management, file audits, due diligence and time recording.

3. Offer excellent customer service to clients. Client service is central to our way of working. This includes keeping clients informed, managing expectations and building strong working relationships.

4. Work as part of the team, assisting colleagues and sharing information and best practice. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders.

5. Comply with professional standards and requirement set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or other relevant regulators. Take responsibility for your continued professional development.

6. Contribute to the growth and development of the firm. You may be required to support PR and marketing activities, CSR activities and the creation of client support materials.
