Well known FinTech is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to support and evolve a complex hybrid environment across on-premise sites and multiple cloud platforms. This is a hands-on role combining operational support, project delivery, security enhancement, and infrastructure modernisation. This role suits a proactive engineer who enjoys driving improvement, embracing change, and contributing to a secure, high-performing network landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and optimise LAN, WAN, wireless, and firewall services across physical and cloud environments
  • Manage virtual networks within Azure, AWS and Google Cloud platforms
  • Configure and maintain routing protocols (BGP, OSPF/IS-IS), VPNs, IPSEC, GRE, QoS, multicast, and Layer 2/3 connectivity
  • Deliver WAN deployments, network migrations, and device lifecycle upgrades
  • Administer enterprise firewall and switching technologies
  • Maintain telephony and collaboration network services
  • Develop standard configurations, documentation, and governance processes
  • Automate repeatable tasks using Infrastructure as Code and scripting tools
  • Monitor performance, manage capacity, and strengthen resilience
  • Implement and enhance security controls in partnership with security teams
  • Lead incident resolution end-to-end and contribute to preventative improvements

Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in TCP/IP, subnetting, and IP-based networking
  • Extensive experience with enterprise networking and next-generation firewalls
  • Solid Azure knowledge; AWS experience advantageous
  • Familiarity with Terraform (or similar IaC tools) and automation practices
  • Good understanding of Windows environments (desktop and server)
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, cloud networking, virtual infrastructure, and storage technologies
  • Ability to assess risk, make informed technical decisions, and balance competing priorities
