Platform Engineers with strong knowledge around Azure and Kubernetes are wanted to become a big part of the systems team within a well-known FinTech company. You’ll be involved in re-writing a complex and successful SaaS system from scratch, to ensure reliability and ability to scale. This system is used by 98% of the top 200 financial services companies, working together with product teams and delivering highly scalable infrastructure and pipelines.

This company likes to give responsibility out, so you will be involved in decision making on tech/projects and having a real influence on the SaaS product range. It’s an opening for someone who wants to do things the right way and join a team of likeminded Engineers, who are passionate about technology and producing something great.

Daily Responsibilities:
  • Running and improving Azure cloud infrastructure to keep things fast, reliable and resilient.
  • Managing Kubernetes at scale – deploying workloads, setting up Helm charts, using tools like ArgoCD, Flux, and more.
  • Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Writing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or OpenTofu.
  • Automating deployment and operations tasks with PowerShell.
  • Working closely with dev teams to keep things running smoothly and reliably.
  • Keeping a close eye on things using tools like Datadog, Azure Monitor, and App Insights.
Technical Summary:
  • Experience in a Platform, Infra, or DevOps role
  • Strong Azure experience – ideally running 24x7 production systems
  • Solid Kubernetes skills – you’ve deployed and managed clusters in the wild
  • Confident with Terraform/OpenTofu for IaC
  • Good grasp of CI/CD workflows (Azure DevOps is a plus)
  • Comfortable scripting in PowerShell
  • You know your way around observability tools
  • Great communicator who enjoys collaborating across teams

The successful Platform Engineer will earn up to £90,000 and in addition there are exceptional benefits which come as part of the overall package including: 15% bonus, 15% pension, training budget, weekly team lunches, travel loans and numerous soft leisurely benefits. The team has a new and modern work space and collaborates on-site 1 or 2 days a week.
