We’re recruiting for a Software Development Manager that will join a Technology Driven - Financial Services organisation known for its high transactional, high scalability software products. As the new Software Development Manager, you’ll be heavily involved in the technical development, reporting directly to the Head of Software Development. This role balances leadership with hands-on software development, ensuring product solutions align with internal business goals and deliver market-leading software to a global client base. The role will work on a Hybrid format, splitting time between home and the Company’s office.

This Software Development Manager position will pay an annual salary of £100,000 and comes with an excellent Company Pension, Annual Bonus Scheme, 30 Days Holiday, Private Health and more.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate proven experience as a Software Development Manager in a fast-paced software environment.
  • Have strong foundations in .Net and/or Java, with the ability to jump into the code and contribute hands-on.
  • Demonstrate experience with Azure/AWS, DevOps practices, and modern CI/CD pipelines.
  • Have a deep understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, and experience working with 3rd party vendors and managing cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
  • Proven Software Development Management experience in a relevant setting.
  • Solid grounding in .Net and/or Java.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional team leadership.
