Spencer Rigby have partnered with a global Ophthalmic Medical Device company looking for a hands on IT Application Development Manager who’s ready to take charge, drive smart solutions, and shape the digital backbone of company systems and data landscape.

This isn’t just another management role, this is a high-impact opportunity to lead a talented development team, own system architecture, and deliver scalable, business-critical solutions that fuel global operations.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a high-performing internal development team across all major technical initiatives
• Architect and evolve a robust, scalable systems & data landscape
• Ensure 24/7 system reliability
• Champion best practices across SDLC and keep documentation sharp
• Coach and mentor both team members and stakeholders in modern tools & methods
• Partner with IT and business leaders to turn complex needs into clever, value-driven solutions
• Collaborate with top-tier vendors to keep key systems like ERP, QMS & PLM running smoothly

What You Bring:

• Hands-on leadership experience in tech development within the Medical Device or advanced manufacturing space
• Expertise architecting and designing new and current systems.
• Proven track record of leading support teams in maintaining applications for a global, 24/7 operational business.
• Comprehensive expertise in Azure, Java, and API integration.
• Extensive experience in vendor management, particularly with ERP, QMS, and PLM systems.
• Strong leadership abilities with a focus on coaching and developing team members.
