What you’ll be doing
  • Running the service department - overseeing day‑to‑day operations and ensuring everything runs smoothly
  • Managing equipment checks - including Red Pen Checks and compliance inspections
  • Championing workshop safety - embedding safe working practices and high standards
  • Overseeing repairs - ensuring maximum equipment availability
  • Leading and developing the team - coaching, supporting, and driving performance
  • Maintaining statutory training - ensuring all qualifications remain up to date
  • Ensuring compliance across the workshop and yard
  • Processing timesheets accurately and on time
  • Delivering toolbox talks and regular team briefings
  • Monitoring spend - analysing PO reports to identify savings and highlight overspend
  • Supporting recruitment of workshop fitters when required
  • Driving engagement and productivity across the department
What we're looking for
  • Proven management or supervisory experience
  • Confident leadership skills with the ability to motivate and influence
