Job Description
We are excited to be the retained search partner for a business that has along standing reputation of excellence in the forklift truck industry. One of the UK’s market leaders in providing forklift trucks for both rental and sale.
Following a continued period of high growth, we are now looking to appoint a Trading Director. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving growth, improving profitability and shaping the commercial strategy of the business, you will lead and optimise all revenue generating activities, as the go to person for buying and selling, pricing and order taking.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the commercial strategy across sales, rentals, service, and aftersales.
- Lead and manage the sales teams to achieve revenue and margin targets.
- Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships to expand the customer base.
- Oversee pricing, contract negotiation, and customer relationship management.
- Collaborate with operations and finance to ensure commercial goals align with business capabilities.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform decision-making.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
- Report on commercial performance and contribute to SLT discussions and planning.
