We are retained to manage the search for a new Director to lead the Infrastructure/Heavy Civils vertical for a leading European business. The successful candidate will be a specialist within large infrastructure projects, highways, civils and utilities, either selling products or services and excited about taking ownership of the sector and driving revenue growth. The role will be client facing and responsible for increasing revenue through the selling of solutions around the UK to infrastructure and utilities clients on large scale projects.
The successful candidate will hold a strategic role focused on driving high value solution sales, managing key relationships and leading a growing sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully selling into large scale infrastructure projects, through knowledge of procurement processes and frameworks, leveraging existing external client relationships. You will be in a national role, a sector specialist who could have the opportunity to grow a team that will increase revenue within your specialist sector of clients.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a national sales strategy targeting Tier 1 and major infrastructure construction firms.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across target accounts, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Lead the preparation and submission of bids and tenders, ensuring alignment with procurement frameworks and compliance requirements.
- Drive revenue growth through solution‑based selling, identifying new opportunities and expanding existing accounts.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform strategy and positioning.
