Role Overview
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving new business and existing client revenue growth by selling technology solutions into construction contractors, infrastructure companies and related sectors. This role suits someone who has experience selling technology into construction businesses or someone who has successfully sold human recognition, biometric, AI-based monitoring, SAAS or related safety/security technologies. The successful candidate will manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead generation through to demonstrations, proposal development and closing deals while building long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within construction, infrastructure and industrial sectors. Proactively target contractors, developers, house builders and tier-one construction firms. Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through networking, outreach and industry events.
- Sales Process Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract close. Conduct client meetings, product demonstrations and solution presentations. Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial offers tailored to client needs. Negotiate contracts and secure new customer agreements.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop relationships with key decision-makers including HSE leaders, project directors, operations managers and procurement teams. Act as a trusted advisor on technology solutions that improve safety, compliance and workforce monitoring. Maintain regular contact with customers to identify additional opportunities.
- Market Engagement: Keep up to date with emerging technologies, industry regulations and construction safety standards. Represent the company at trade shows, client events and industry networking opportunities. Provide market feedback to product and leadership teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements. Support onboarding and implementation for new clients. Contribute to overall sales strategy and market expansion.
Requirements
- Essential: Proven experience in a B2B sales role. Experience selling technology solutions into construction, infrastructure or industrial markets, or experience selling human recognition / biometric / AI monitoring technologies. Demonstrated ability to generate new business and close deals. Strong presentation, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
- Desirable: Experience working with construction contractors or site-based technology solutions. Established network within construction or infrastructure sectors.
