We’re supporting an ambitious, independent business in the industrial solutions sector and growing fast. With plans to more than double in size over the next three years, they are on a mission to scale with purpose, and we need an exceptional Head of HR to lead the charge on all things People.

This is a rare chance to build and shape a truly people-first function, right from the heart of a business that’s expanding organically and through acquisition. If you’re a commercial, hands-on HR leader who thrives in high-growth, fast-moving environments, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership to align our people strategy with business goals – supporting growth, culture, and performance
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the MD and senior team, providing insight on all things people, engagement, and compliance
  • Build out and own our recruitment, retention and talent development plans, with support from a longstanding external partner
  • Lead and manage the full range of HR generalist activities: including ER, policy, compliance, and TUPE
  • Take the lead on embedding culture across new acquisitions by ensuring smooth integration and high engagement
  • Design and roll out programmes for wellbeing, inclusion and high-performance
  • Oversee training, H&S records and compliance across the business
  • Build and mentor a small, high-impact People team

To Be Successful:

  • Experience in a fast-paced, operationally intensive sector (e.g. engineering, hire, FM, utilities)
  • A proven track record of building HR capability through growth and acquisition
  • Comfortable working at pace, wearing both strategic and operational hats
  • A strong grasp of UK employment law, with the ability to handle complex ER cases
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including influencing C-suite and investors
  • A real passion for culture, development and people-first leadership
  • Experience working nationally across multiple teams or sites
  • CIPD qualified or significant experience
  • You want to make your mark on a scaling business and own the People agenda from day one
