Our client, an energy company based in Central London, is looking for a Graduate Treasury Settlement Officer to join their team.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for the daily preparation and journal booking of treasury functions within the Finance Department. You will work closely with other team members and report directly to the Treasury Team Leader to help develop the Treasury Team and ensure all treasury duties are performed in a timely, accurate, and safe manner.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct daily bank reconciliations and SAP booking for all payments, receivables, loans, discounting, and other cash movements independently using proper supporting documents.
- Produce all company payment documents and bank notices in SAP.
- Execute payment check procedures to ensure compliant SSI records, correct bank details, and the prevention of duplicate payments.
- Record daily FX transactions, update the FX sheet, and produce corresponding payment documents.
- Record daily margin call movements and produce corresponding payment documents.
- Monitor inward and outward payments and receipts with banks, ensuring daily closing balances align with required policies.
- Conduct monthly bank statements checks to ensure month-end SAP cash balances agree with bank statements.
- Perform ad-hoc monthly treasury analyses and related duties as reasonably assigned.
- Act as a backup for the Treasury Officer role.
- Handle other ad-hoc tasks as required.
Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Qualifications:
- Good academic record is preferable.
Skills & Attributes:
- Familiarity with SAP accounting systems (training will be provided) and Microsoft packages.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure when necessary.
- Strong team player with a high level of attention to detail.
