Job Description
We’re supporting a fast-growing, independent company in the industrial solutions space, with plans to more than double in size over the next three years. This is your opportunity to become a key player at a pivotal moment in our journey.
We’re looking for an outstanding Executive Assistant to support the Managing Director. You’ll be their right hand, helping drive performance, improve focus, and remove friction from their day. If you're highly organised, calm under pressure, and excited by fast-paced growth, this could be the role that transforms your career.
Overview:
As Executive Assistant with Program Management responsibilities, you’ll be at the heart of the business by enabling the Managing Director, CFO & Group Ops Director to focus on high-impact work. From managing complex calendars and travel to ensuring timely communication and follow-up, your work will directly support strategic decision-making. You’ll gain exposure to every part of the business, helping to shape its future from the inside out.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the day-to-day support for the Managing Director; acting as a gatekeeper, problem-solver and trusted partner
- Proactively manage calendars, meetings, travel (UK & Europe), and daily priorities
- Anticipate needs, read the room, and pre-empt problems before they arise
- Be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare high-quality documents, reports, presentations, and correspondence
- Support board and leadership meetings: coordinate agendas, prep materials, take notes, track actions
- Keep the MD informed of critical deadlines, risks, and time-sensitive issues
- Handle general administrative tasks, from inbox management to expenses and filing
- Play a key role in internal comms, stakeholder coordination, and special projects
To Be Successful:
- Proven experience supporting senior executives in a fast-paced, high-growth business
- A sharp eye for detail, and the ability to manage competing demands with grace
- Excellent judgment and total discretion when handling sensitive information
- Clear, confident communicator who can build strong relationships at all levels
- Highly skilled in time management, organisation, and prioritisation
- Tech-savvy with strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- You’re ambitious, hardworking, and hungry to learn
- You love structure, but thrive in a fast-moving, ever-evolving environment
- You see yourself as a strategic partner, not just a support function
- You’re excited by the idea of growing with a business that’s scaling fast
- PRINCE2 highly desirable
In return, salary circa £50k and huge development opportunity in a supportive and high performing team. Email Lauryn – lb@spencer-richardson.com for more info.
