We are working with a client to source a talented and experienced European power market analyst to join their highly successful and fast-growing global markets team. They deliver analysis and insight on global commodity markets to a broad client base that includes traders, portfolio managers, economists and strategists on both the buy and sell-side.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on trading or market-facing research experience, strong analytical skills, and deep familiarity with European power markets. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual that is highly analytical, ambitious, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. They are a team of experienced analysts, researchers and former traders drawn from energy/utility companies, price reporting, investment banking, and research industries.
The principal responsibilities of the position include:
- Providing analysis on European power markets.
- Analysing market data and translating complex flows and policy developments into clear, actionable insights for clients.
- Writing client-facing communications in a clear and high-signal style.
- Monitoring and interpreting key fundamental drivers across EU power markets.
- Contributing to regular thematic research.

Essential requirements for this role:
