The Role
We are seeking a highly driven Sales Manager with a strong hunter mentality and proven leadership capability to build, manage, and develop a high-performing new business sales team. This is a dual-focus role: driving your own new business revenue while leading a team of Business Development Managers responsible for winning new customers across sectors, predominantly within construction and other industrial markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Personally identify, target, and win new business opportunities
- Manage and grow a high-quality sales pipeline through strategic prospecting and networking
- Conduct senior-level discovery meetings to understand client safety, compliance, and operational challenges
- Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to senior stakeholders
- Own key strategic accounts and high-value opportunities where required
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Development Managers
- Set clear activity, pipeline, and revenue targets across the team
- Run regular 1:1s, pipeline reviews, and performance coaching sessions
- Support deal strategy, negotiation planning, and closing support
- Recruit, onboard, and develop new sales talent
- Foster a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative sales culture
Experience & Skills Required
- Proven track record in new business sales / business development / field sales (B2B essential)
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to sell technical or solution-based products and translate them into business value
- Highly self-driven, resilient, and results-focused
- Experience in construction, manufacturing, logistics, utilities, or industrial sectors (desirable)
- Confident and disciplined user of CRM systems and sales forecasting tools
