The Role
As an Account Director, you will own senior client relationships and hold ultimate responsibility for delivering an outstanding level of service across your accounts. You will demonstrate strong strategic thinking, commercial awareness, and creativity, alongside the ability to build trusted relationships with senior journalists, commentators, and industry spokespeople. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide senior counsel to clients, internal teams, and leadership. You will also play a key role in developing and mentoring the wider team through knowledge sharing, learning initiatives, and leadership by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the senior point of contact for client accounts, overseeing all activity and guiding team performance
- Deliver exceptional outcomes for clients, ensuring consistent service aligned to objectives and high retention
- Own account profitability, resource planning, and revenue growth opportunities
- Resolve client challenges quickly and effectively
- Analyse campaign outcomes and provide high-level insight and data interpretation
- Lead, manage, and motivate teams, including performance reviews and career development
- Mentor and nurture talent, contributing to learning and development initiatives
- Build and maintain senior-level media relationships with journalists, commentators, and influencers
- Champion the client’s values, purpose, and brand
- Support wider agency growth and development goals
