Spencer Private Hospitals (SPH) is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Anaesthetic Practitioner to join our busy theatre team. Working within our independent healthcare setting, you will play an important role in delivering safe, high-quality care to patients undergoing a wide range of elective surgical procedures.

You will have the opportunity to work across a varied range of elective surgical specialities, utilising a variety of anaesthetic techniques. Working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary theatre team, you will contribute to the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care while continuing to develop your clinical skills and experience.

30 Hours a week . Other Part-time hours considered. Hours are worked across a 7 day working rota. Please specify your preference on the application form.

We offer enhancements for Saturdays and any work between 8pm and 7.30am on weekdays at time +30% of your basic salary rate. For Sundays and Bank Holidays at time + 60% of your basic salary rate.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Operating Department Practitioner or Registered Nurse with recognised Anaesthetic course
  • Ability to assess, plan and evaluate patient care
  • Knowledge of research and evidence-based practice
  • Catalyst for change
  • Knowledge of CQC
  • Ability work as a member of the team
  • Dealing with emergency situations within operating theatre department
  • Highly developed physical/clinical skills where accuracy is important
  • Practise Assessor
