We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Writer for a UK-based contract role in Stafford. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a skilled engineering team on cutting-edge electrical projects with a leading HVDC grid developer.

The role involves collaborating with subject matter experts and technicians to document technical information related to electrical engineering tests and results.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with SMEs and technicians to gather and accurately document technical information related to electrical engineering tests and results.
  2. Produce high-quality technical documentation, including test reports, user manuals, and specifications.
  3. Review documents for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards.
  4. Translate complex technical data into clear content for technical and non-technical audiences.
  5. Update documentation to reflect latest changes in processes, technologies, and standards.
  6. Develop and enforce documentation standards and best practices.
  7. Manage documents within a documentation management system.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a technical writer in electrical engineering or a related technical field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
