Onshore Site Supervisor – Major HVDC Cable Project
Location: East & North Yorkshire
Contract: 12 months minimum | Start: ASAP | Type: Full-time, site-based
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Onshore Site Supervisor to manage civil construction and land cable installation works. You’ll oversee site operations, HSE compliance, and contractor coordination, ensuring delivery to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise onshore construction: trenching, HDD, ducting, joint bays, reinstatement.
- Ensure compliance with HSE Plans, RAMS, and ITPs.
- Coordinate with contractors, client reps, and stakeholders.
- Conduct site inspections and enforce a strong safety culture.
- Support reporting, documentation, and lessons learned.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- 5+ years’ site supervision or management experience on major civil/cable projects.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations, SR-188, and BS 5975.
- Certifications: SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS, TWC/TWS (BS 5975).
- First Aid or Mental Health First Aid (advantageous).
