The Role
We are looking for a proactive, commercially minded Senior Site Acquisition Manager to join our expanding team. You will play a key role in delivering our national infrastructure rollout, focusing on the identification, acquisition, and development of strategic sites for clean transport hubs. Reporting to the Head of Site Acquisition, you will manage the full lifecycle of site acquisition activities within your designated regions or workstreams, ranging from site identification and assessment, through to negotiation and securing of key land deals. This is a high-impact role offering the opportunity to shape the future of sustainable transport in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on site identification, appraisal, and acquisition for commercial EV and clean transport infrastructure.
- Negotiate heads of terms and legal agreements for land deals.
- Work cross-functionally with internal planning, development, and legal teams to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Analyse site-level viability, risks, and commercial value to support investment decisions.
- Maintain strong relationships with agents, landowners, and local stakeholders to secure new opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date on market dynamics, planning regulations, and infrastructure trends relevant to clean transport.
Qualifications & Experience (Essential)
- Full, clean UK driving licence – travel and site visits are a key component of the role.
- Degree in Real Estate, Planning, Geography, Finance, or a related commercial/technical field.
- MRICS qualification (or actively progressing through APC with strong supporting experience).
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in land acquisition, development, or real estate transactions.
- Strong track record in identifying and securing commercial land opportunities.
- In-depth understanding of valuation, development constraints, and market factors.
- Background in commercial real estate, logistics, energy, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in commercial property agency, especially involving industrial, logistics, or infrastructure assets.
- Exposure to the UK planning system or planning application processes.
- Involvement in site sourcing, acquisition, or disposals—particularly within logistics, transport, or energy sectors.
- Previous experience at a property developer, consultancy, or land agency.
