Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering activities across utility, renewable energy, and power infrastructure projects.
- Develop and review technical solutions, specifications, datasheets, single-line diagrams, protection schemes, load lists, layouts, and calculations.
- Perform electrical system studies including relay coordination, grounding, HV/LV design, and ETAP / Power Factory / PSCAD studies.
- Ensure quality control and technical compliance of engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate with project managers, multidisciplinary engineering teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients.
- Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations, RFIs, TQs, and vendor document reviews.
- Participate in FATs, inspections, constructability reviews, safety workshops, and commissioning support activities.
- Identify and manage technical risks, project changes, and engineering challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support FEED verification, gap analysis, and preparation of engineering documentation and reports.
- Provide technical guidance to engineers and designers and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Travel across EMEA / internationally as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical design for utility, renewable energy, PV, BESS, HV or power generation projects.
- Strong expertise in power systems, protection control, relay coordination, grounding, HV/LV systems, and EPC project execution.
- Experience with ETAP, Power Factory, PSCAD, and electrical system studies.
- Strong understanding of international codes, standards, and regulations within the EMEA region.
- Experience supporting procurement engineering, technical bid evaluations, and vendor management.
- Excellent technical problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Fluent English required; German language skills beneficial.
