Role Overview
The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for carrying out onshore quality inspections in line with Project and Site Quality Plans, procedures, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). The role ensures compliance across goods receipt, pre-assembly, assembly, and final inspections prior to load-out, while serving as the main point of contact with customer QA/QC representatives. The position supports inspection planning, documentation control, non-conformance management, and continuous improvement, while actively participating in EHS programs and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute inspections in accordance with Site Quality Plans, procedures, and ITPs
- Act as the primary liaison with customer QA/QC representatives during inspections
- Plan and coordinate inspection readiness for main components with site teams
- Review and approve Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and quality documentation
- Record, report, and manage non-conformities, ensuring timely resolution
- Support completions, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning teams with punch list closure
- Maintain site documentation and collaborate with Document Control
- Contribute to continuous improvement by providing feedback and lessons learned
- Ensure preservation and acceptance of main components against project criteria
- Actively participate in EHS initiatives to maintain a safe working environment
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- GWO certification (mandatory)
- Experience in onshore/offshore wind QA/QC inspection or quality engineering
- Strong understanding of site safety and quality standards, including ISO 9001 & ISO 14001
- Knowledge of fabrication, assembly, NDT, coatings, and HV electrical systems
- Proven ability to work independently and proactively, with strong communication skills
