Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced EHS Advisor to support high-voltage direct current (HVDC) and substation construction projects in Minster, Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting the implementation of effective environmental, health and safety management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, site audits and safety inspections.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of EHS management systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.
- Monitor site activities and ensure safe working practices are followed.
- Support emergency response planning and environmental management.
- Prepare EHS reports, analyse safety data and recommend improvements.
Requirements
- 3-7+ years of experience in an EHS role.
- Proven experience in HVDC, substation construction or the energy sector.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections and incident investigations.
- Strong knowledge of risk assessments, safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent reporting, analytical and communication skills.
- Must live within a commutable distance of Minster, Kent.
