Spencer Ogden is supporting a leading energy infrastructure contractor on a major HVDC Converter Station project in Norfolk. We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join the site team on a long-term contract.
The Role
Reporting to the General Site Manager and Site Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end coordination and control of all site logistics activities. This includes managing materials from shipment through to site storage and installation, ensuring alignment with the project programme and quality requirements. You will play a critical role in coordinating logistics for permanent materials and plant, supporting the delivery of complex mechanical and electrical equipment for a large-scale HVDC converter station.
Key Responsibilities
- Control, coordinate, and take custody of materials from shipment to site
- Manage site storage, laydown areas, and material flows in line with programme requirements
- Coordinate logistics for permanent materials and plant
- Interface with suppliers to manage deliveries, planning, and quality checks
- Compile and manage quality documentation, including FAT documentation
- Understand and manage equipment dimensions, weights, and handling requirements
- Support supply chain and logistics optimisation to improve efficiency and cost effectiveness
- Ensure delivery reliability and high standards of site logistics execution
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics or supply chain supervision on large construction or energy projects
- Experience working on HVDC, substation, power, or heavy industrial projects is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment handling
- Experience coordinating with suppliers, planners, and site teams
- Knowledge of quality documentation and FAT processes
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
