About the Role We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSE Manager to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental operations on a large infrastructure project. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and compliant execution of construction activities across complex onshore, nearshore, and offshore worksites. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that internal teams and subcontractors adhere to all applicable UK HSE legislation, project-specific requirements, and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities * Lead on-site HSE activities and ensure full compliance with UK regulations and project HSE plans. * Conduct regular inspections and audits of site operations and subcontractors. * Support risk assessments, including design-stage reviews (e.g., HAZID). * Investigate incidents and near misses; analyze trends and develop improvement strategies. * Deliver HSE inductions and ongoing training to site personnel and subcontractors. * Promote a positive safety culture and support behavioral safety initiatives. * Monitor and report HSE performance metrics (KPIs, Safety Observation Cards). * Ensure environmentally compliant waste management and reporting. Requirements * Recognized HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH), with professional membership in a relevant body. * Technical or engineering background preferred. * Proven experience in HSE supervision within the energy or large-scale construction sectors. * Familiar with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards; lead auditor certification is an advantage. * Strong leadership, communication, and team collaboration skills. * Competent in Microsoft Office and digital reporting tools. * Valid UK driving license. * Marine-related certifications (e.g., BOSIET, Working at Height) required. * Training in incident investigation methods (e.g., TapRoot, Kelvin Top Set). * Mental Health First Aider certification is a plus.
