About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Manager to oversee daily operations on a high-profile HVDC project at the Torness site. This is a key role in ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of complex site activities, with a focus on quality, safety, and coordination across multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day management of site operations on a live HVDC project
  • Oversight of subcontractors and site teams, ensuring work is delivered to specification, budget, and schedule
  • Implement and enforce site health, safety, environmental, and quality standards (EHSQ)
  • Manage site logistics, access routes, deliveries, and safe crane operations
  • Participate in daily/weekly coordination meetings with internal and external teams
  • Monitor and report on progress, delays, risks, and mitigation measures
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting for site works, permits, and inspections

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager in HVDC, Power Transmission, or Substation projects
  • Strong knowledge of site construction practices, CDM regulations, and HV protocols
  • Exposure to National Grid and/or ScottishPower processes, standards, or frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary site teams
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • SMSTS / CSCS / First Aid certifications preferred
  • Right to work in the UK
