We are currently seeking 2 x Commissioning Engineers for a major transmission substation project based at Creag Dhubh. This is a 4-month contract opportunity working on high-voltage infrastructure within a live transmission environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Commissioning and testing of 132/220/400kV substations
- Testing of CTs and VTs
- Checking and verification of protection schemes, including Busbar Protection
- Interface testing of Transformers, Circuit Breakers, Reactors, and GIS
- Carrying out Primary Injection and Secondary Injection testing
- Supporting commissioning documentation, fault finding, and energisation activities
Requirements
- Proven experience in HV/EHV transmission substation commissioning
- Strong understanding of protection and control systems
- Previous experience on National Grid or similar transmission projects preferred
- Ability to work independently within a commissioning team environment
