Our client is looking for experienced SCADA Engineers - Hybrid - London / Amsterdam / Germany.

You will be responsible for supporting SCADA integration and communication systems across utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects throughout the EMEA region. The role will focus on SCADA systems integration, monitoring systems, communication protocols, FAT/SAT testing, and commissioning support for transmission and distribution connected renewable energy projects. You will work closely with project teams, field engineers, clients, and subcontractors to support successful integration of SCADA and monitoring systems into TSO and EMS environments.

The main responsibilities include:

  • Supporting SCADA integration into TSO and EMS systems
  • Supporting configuration of monitoring systems and communication interfaces
  • Supporting FAT/SAT testing and commissioning activities
  • Working with SCADA protocols including: IEC61850, DNP3, Modbus and IEC104
  • Supporting troubleshooting activities during project execution and commissioning
  • Supporting development and maintenance of SCADA documentation and communication diagrams
  • Supporting interfaces with clients and subcontractors during project execution

Requirements:

Essential

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience within utilities, transmission & distribution, substations, renewables, or energy infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems and communication protocols including: IEC60870-5-101/103/104, IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus TCP/IP
  • Experience with: RTUs, PLC systems, SCADA gateways, Data concentrators, SEL / Siemens systems
  • Experience supporting commissioning, FAT/SAT testing, or system integration activities
  • Strong communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Fluent English

Desirable

  • BESS / Energy Storage experience
  • OT networking knowledge
  • Linux / Python / Github experience
  • German language skills

Contract Details: 12-month initial contract, Hybrid working, EMEA travel required, Rate dependent on experience.
