Our client supports organisations around the world to develop, implement and manage their Integrated Facilities and Workplace Management strategies.
This role ensures the efficient operation and maintenance of building services providing reactive and planned maintenance, support critical systems (including basic UPS and STS units), and ensure a safe, comfortable environment for occupants.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive tasks on HVAC, lighting and electrical systems.
- Respond to site reactive repair work orders within the contractual SLA, including escalating to sub-contractors for resolution where required.
- Monitor and operate Building Management Systems (BMS) for alarms and performance adjustments.
- Carry out basic fault-finding and repairs on LV electrical systems, fan coil units (FCUs), VAVs, and chilled water circuits.
- Support and maintain small-scale UPS and STS systems, including routine checks and simple switching operations.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and emergencies within agreed SLAs, ensuring critical environment protocols are followed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, including permit-to-work systems and critical environment standards.
- Liaise with tenants and the facilities team to communicate building issues and planned works.
- Supervise contractors and ensure quality and safety standards are met. Follow the vendor permit to work system creating and issuing permits as required.
- Participate in emergency response drills and support business continuity plans for critical systems.
- Recognized apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Experience in building services maintenance.
- Good understanding of HVAC systems and basic controls.
- Familiarity with BMS operation and fault diagnosis.
- Basic knowledge of UPS systems and electrical switching.
- Strong IT literacy for reporting and system updates.
- Health & Safety awareness (IOSH Managing Safely Certification qualification or similar desirable).
- Aware of critical environment protocols and emergency response procedures.
