Spencer & James are seeking a highly organized and safety-conscious Electrical Authorised Person (AP) to oversee site safety protocols, manage permitting processes, and ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Rules and industry standards. This role is essential for maintaining a secure, efficient, and well-documented work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and enforce safety guidelines and best practices across all site activities.
- Prepare and manage safety permits, including isolations, and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
- Verify all isolations are double-locked by relevant parties and maintain up-to-date isolation records with photographic evidence.
- Keep detailed site logs, including permits, lock and key registers, and LV records, updated daily.
- Perform routine safety inspections, including weekly Yellow Jack reviews, and monitor compliance with quality standards.
- Participate in daily briefings and high-risk activity meetings as needed.
- Update schematics to reflect current isolation statuses and manage project documentation.
- Train and supervise team members, ensuring they meet required competencies and adhere to safety procedures.
- Record and report all incidents, accidents, and near-misses promptly and in line with company guidelines.
- Conduct safety checks and maintain quality assurance to create a secure and effective work environment.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Authorised Person, preferably in Site Temporary Services sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to work with diverse teams and resolve issues.

- C&G: LV AP 12
- Fully Qualified Electrician
- NVQ Level 3: Electrical Qualification
