This is an exciting entry-level opportunity for someone looking to kickstart a career in business development within the construction and civil engineering industry.In return Spencer Group will offer a structured training and development plan with mentorship from industry professionals. This is an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and innovative company, with exposure to real-world business development practices.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in identifying new business opportunities, clients, and marketsSupport the preparation of bids, tenders and proposal documentsConduct market and competitor research to inform strategic decisionsMaintain and update our in-house system with relevant client and project informationSupport client relationship management and internal stakeholder engagementHelp coordinate meetings, presentations, and follow-ups with potential clientsAd hoc duties as requiredRequirements and Qualifications Person SpecificationA genuine interest in business development and the construction/civil engineering sectorExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExperience of managing multiple, complex and time sensitive tasks/activitiesAbility to prioritise a varied workloadStrong numeracy and IT skillsEfficient, well organised and self-motivatedExcellent written skills with a eye for detailQualificationsMinimum of Maths and English GCSE\’s Grade B or aboveA relevant degree, or equivalent, would be preferred but not essential
