We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at our Head Office. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong accounting knowledge and excellent attention to detail to contribute to a fast‑paced finance function. The successful candidate will support the day‑to‑day financial operations of the business and play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with management accounting processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and reconciliation of nominal ledgers
  • Preparation and posting of journals
  • Accurate maintenance of financial ledgers
  • Reconciliation of control accounts
  • Collation and preparation of information for management accounts
  • Assisting with month‑end procedures
  • Ensuring financial records are accurate and up to date
  • Supporting the wider finance team with administrative and accounting duties as required

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a finance or accounts environment
  • Strong working knowledge of nominal ledger management
  • Experience with journalling and ledger maintenance
  • Experience completing control account reconciliations
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach

Qualifications

  • AAT qualification advantageous but not essential.
