Young Peoples Advisor (Leaving Care)

We are working in partnership with a Local Authority based in the Ellesmere Port area who are looking to appoint a Young Peoples Advisor to work within the Leaving Care Service.

3-6 Month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.

Location – Ellesmere Port, CH65 0BE. (It would be beneficial if the candidate lives within a reasonable distance from Ellesmere Port, as whilst we work in a hybrid model, there is an expectation of regular working from our office bases)

Rate of Pay – £14 – £18 per hour. (Negotiable depending on experience)

Job Purpose:

• The role is to provide ongoing support, advice and guidance to promote the capacity of each young person to develop the skills necessary to live independently.
• Enhance the ability for all young people leaving care, enabling them to realize their full potential and become successful in all aspects of their lives.
• Provide a targeted, outcome-focused service to children and young people who are legally defined as care leavers and therefore entitled to services.
• Offer supervision and manage caseloads, working alongside a team of experienced young people\’s advisors, social workers and team managers.

Experience Needed:

• Personal Advisor / Leaving Care Support
• Local Authority / Public Sector experience.
