Spencer Clarke Group are looking for an interim Service Director to lead a large local authority's Economy, Property and Regeneration functions. This is a senior leadership post with responsibility for economic strategy, inward investment, business growth, regeneration delivery, and strategic property assets.
This is a high-profile opportunity to drive major place-based programmes, shape policy and partnerships, and ensure delivery across complex portfolios, including external funding and capital projects.
Responsibilities include
Leading economic strategy, inward investment and business growth activity
Oversight of regeneration programmes, capital projects and associated governance
Strategic leadership of property and corporate landlord/asset functions
Building partnerships with developers, funders, agencies and regional bodies
Securing and managing external funding portfolios and investment programmes
Advising senior stakeholders and elected members, producing clear strategic reports
Leading budgets, performance, risk, business continuity and workforce priorities
About you
Significant senior leadership experience across regeneration, property, economic development, xgikmsk investment or related fields
Strong programme leadership across complex, multi-disciplinary services
Track record delivering major regeneration and capital programmes
Proven ability to develop partnerships and influence at senior levels
Confident working in political environments and advising elected members
