We are currently recruiting for two experienced Maths Lecturers to join our team, delivering high-quality GCSE Maths Resit and Functional Skills provision within a Further Education setting.

We have opportunities available across North Tyneside and South Tyneside, with an ASAP start.

  • North Tyneside: Monday-Friday, 37 hours per week
  • South Tyneside: Monday-Friday, 25.5 hours per week

Start Date: ASAP

Delivery: GCSE Maths Resit and Functional Skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons to learners across GCSE Resit and Functional Skills programmes.
  • Supporting learners to develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and skills.
  • Preparing learners effectively for examinations and assessments.
  • Monitoring learner progress and providing appropriate support and feedback.
  • Creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure high-quality teaching and learner outcomes.

Essential Requirements

  • A Level 5 Teaching Qualification or PGCE.
  • Previous experience teaching within a Further Education (FE) setting - essential.
  • Proven experience delivering GCSE Maths Resit and Functional Skills.
  • An Enhanced Child DBS registered on the Update Service (UDS).
  • Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths, with certificates available as evidence.
