Spencer Clarke Group are recruiting Unqualified Teaching Assistants to support pupils with additional needs within mainstream primary schools in Wallasey. These roles are specifically to work with children who require structured, consistent support due to SEND, physical needs, medical needs and behavioural challenges. We are therefore seeking individuals who already have experience supporting children or young people with additional needs. Suitable backgrounds may include care settings, children's residential services, youth work, medical support roles, specialist education, or similar environments where behaviour management, emotional support and safeguarding are key.

The Role:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group SEND support within mainstream classrooms.
  • Support pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement in learning.
  • Assist children with physical or medical needs where required.
  • Work proactively alongside teachers to adapt learning and maintain structure.
  • Help pupils access the primary curriculum while building confidence and independence.
  • Consistency is essential, so we are looking for reliable individuals able to build strong, trusting relationships and provide stable, ongoing support.
