Year 2 Class Teacher - Primary School

Location: Wallasey

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary (Until End of Academic Year)

Pay: £140 - £250 per day (dependent on experience)

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Wallasey who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible for the remainder of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident KS1 teacher to support pupils at a key stage of their learning, building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
  • Deliver effective phonics and early reading sessions.
  • Assess, monitor and track pupil progress.
  • Differentiating teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND.
  • Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Take part in staff meetings, parent consultations and wider school life.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Experience teaching KS1, ideally Year 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and phonics frameworks.
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
