Year 2 Class Teacher - Primary School
Location: Wallasey
Start Date: ASAP

Spencer Clarke Group are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Wallasey who are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2 Teacher to join their team as soon as possible for the remainder of the academic year. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident KS1 teacher to support pupils at a key stage of their learning, building strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum.
- Deliver effective phonics and early reading sessions.
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress.
- Differentiating teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND.
- Create a positive, nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.
- Take part in staff meetings, parent consultations and wider school life.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching KS1, ideally Year 2.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and phonics frameworks.
- Effective classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
