Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a Targeted Housing Advisor for a local authority in South London. In this role you will provide housing advice and casework to prevent homelessness, applying housing law and working with partners to support people into suitable accommodation.
Duties:
- Provide specialist housing advice and assess eligibility under relevant housing legislation.
- Manage a caseload, developing personalised plans to prevent and relieve homelessness.
- Make informed housing decisions and issue clear, compliant decision letters.
- Work with internal teams and external partners to secure suitable accommodation and support outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience of providing housing advice or casework in a complex frontline environment.
- Good working knowledge of housing legislation, including the Housing Act 1996 Parts VI and VII.
- Experience assessing needs and making informed decisions based on evidence and policy.
- Experience working with vulnerable individuals and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
What's on offer:
- Salary: £21ph+ *may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience*
- Contract type: 3-6 months minimum
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hours per week
